The 2nd World Cardiology and Cardiovascular Diseases Conference, held virtually from Dubai on July 19–20, 2019, served as a dynamic and timely platform for the global cardiovascular community. Drawing over 250 participants from more than 20 countries, the conference demonstrated a strong commitment to scientific collaboration and knowledge exchange across borders. Although the COVID-19 pandemic had not yet fully emerged at the time, the digital format and focus on innovation proved remarkably prescient.
Under the theme “Innovations and Challenges in Clinical Trials and Therapeutics,” the conference explored transformative strategies in cardiovascular medicine. Emphasis was placed on evolving clinical trial methodologies, the growing role of digital tools, and the need for more adaptive and patient-centric therapeutic development.
